Mango Tuna Lettuce Wraps

Crispy lettuce wraps served with a fresh home-made tuna salad blend containing tomatoes, onions, celery, aromatic spices, and to top it all off, mango ginger chutney! This recipe delivers a lot of nutrition; making it a great one for post-workout meals.

Prep Time: 10-15 min

Ingredients:

  • 5 ounces (1 can) unsalted white tuna, drained

  • 1 stalk celery, chopped into small cubes

  • 1/2 medium-sized red onion, chopped

  • 1 medium-sized kumato (or tomato), chopped

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil (try garlic infused olive oil for some extra flavor)

  • 1/3 cup nonfat plain greek yogurt (sub with dairy-free yogurt to make this recipe Vegan)

  • 1/2 tsp black garlic seasoning

  • 1/4 tsp paprika

  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp ground turmeric

  • 1/4 tsp sea salt (optional)

  • 1 Tbsp mango chutney (I like to use Trader Joe's Mango Ginger Chutney)

  • 1-2 lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, chopped celery, tomatoes, red onions, greek yogurt and olive oil. Mix well.

  2. Add seasonings: black garlic, paprika, ground cinnamon, ground turmeric, sea salt. Mix well.

  3. Transfer to a bowl and top with mango chutney.

  4. Serve with chilled romaine lettuce and a lemon wedges on the side.
