Matcha Vanilla Latté

My favorite matcha recipe in the books! Not only does matcha deliver an energy boost and a bunch of beneficial nutrients, but it also tastes delicious!



Nutrition of Ingredients:


Matcha

  • high in epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG)

  • contains anti-oxidant properties

  • helps cognitive function, energy levels, and metabolism

Honey

  • contains anti-oxidant properties

  • natural sweetener












Servings: 2

Calories / Serving: 70

Prep Time: 5 min


Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp matcha powder

  • 1/4 cup boiled water

  • 1/4 cup cooled water

  • 1 Tbsp honey

  • 3/4 cup vanilla almond milk

  • Ice

Instructions:

  1. Combine matcha powder, honey, and sweetener in a large mug. In this step, you can add 1 tsp of additional sweeteners (splenda, sugar, etc) if desired.

  2. Add boiled water and room temperature or cooled water to mug. Stir until all clumps have dissolved thoroughly.

  3. Fill serving glass with ice and almond milk. Note: this drink can be made hot (if preferred) by excluding the ice in this step.

  4. Add 1/2 cup of hot matcha mixture from step 2 into serving glass. Note: pouring slowly allows the matcha liquid to mix into the milk better.

  5. Stir and enjoy!
